DVD
- "(No Pulse Service Rifle Sling" with added Service
Rifle Leather Sling Video)
The pulse beat from the arm to the sights is reduced and/or
eliminated, giving the shooter a smaller hold or wobble area. 2)
The Sling can be attached to the upper arm WITHOUT handling the
rifle, much like a Match Sling Cuff, (back on the assembly/ready
line). At the start of prep time the sling can be attached to
the rifle in ten seconds or less, giving you more time to
establish your position. You can use the Leather sling you now
own. No new sling to buy.

IMPORTANT CHANGES
Under current NRA & CMP rule changes, keep in mind the following procedures:
Under current NRA rules for Sitting & Prone rapid fire the shooter MUST stay down in position, the ammo must remain on the stool or mat and the rifle must remain out of the shoulder until the targets appear. When the targets appear, the shooter picks up the ammo, loads and places the rifle in the shoulder and begins to fire. For Service Rifles the shooter has the option of loading two rounds in the 1st magazine and eight rounds in the 2nd magazine OR five rounds in the 1st magazine and five rounds in the 2nd magazine.
Under current CMP rules for Sitting & Prone rapid fire the shooter MUST stand. When the command “Load” is given, the shooter will close the bolt on an EMPTY Chamber, and then insert the magazine into the rifle. For the M-1 Garand shooters, two rounds are placed into the well and pushed down until the bolt overrides the two rounds and the bolt is closed onto an EMPTY Camber. When the targets appear the shooter drops down into position and operates the bolt, places the rifle in the shoulder and begins to fire. For Service Rifles the shooter no longer has the option of loading five rounds in the 1st magazine and five rounds in the 2nd magazine. The shooter MUST load two rounds in the 1st magazine and eight rounds in the 2nd magazine.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 334-347-0020. I am a NRA Referee and I do keep current on the rules. Jim Owens
