Turner Saddlery All Weather Synthetic Sling

Turner Saddlery AWS - Turner has been working on the new AWS (All Weather Sling) sling for over three years now, fielding prototypes. "Biothane" is a PVC vinyl coated webbing. This webbing is not dyed, it is woven from black polyester filaments then coated with a black PVC Vinyl. The AWS is non-reflective, virtually unbreakable, will not crack, or stretch. It has the same temper and flex as a well broke in sling. The breaking strength of the sling is in excess of 2,400 lb. prior to the holes being punched. The holes are rated at over 275 ft.lb. per hole, which would require over 550 ft.lb. when using the sling hook inserted in the rifle sling as intended. It is 1 1/4" wide.

Jim Owens No-Pulse Service Rifle Sling
This is a Turner Saddlery All Weather Sling specially modified to the No-Pulse Configuration. It is already assembled in the No-Pulse Configuration. Both of the Keepers have been replaced with the larger 3-ply Keepers. The Short Strap has been lengthened to make the arm loop larger. It includes an instruction sheet as to it's use. The Advantages are;(1) The sling can be placed on your arm, back on the ready line, without handling the rifle, (2) When they call you to the line, the sling can be attached to the rifle in ten seconds or less, (3) The sling does not slip on the arm and (4) The sling does not give a Pulse Beat to the front sight.

Special note: One of my Students, Thomas Krueger “Reconfigured” the No-Pulse Service Rifle Sling to its present form. The advantages are far supperior to its original form. Thanks Tom.
